Do individuals need to have an account with Equitry in order to receive funds as part of a campaign?

If an individual does not have an Equitry account, when they follow a campaign link they will be prompted to set up an account (requires name and email address only). They do not need a pre-existing account.

What is Equitry Giving?

Equitry Giving LLC is the nonprofit organization that holds and distributes funds on your behalf when you sponsor a giving campaign with Equitry. It is a registration-pending 501(c)(3) charity.

When I accept funds as part of a sponsored-giving campaign, are my charitable allocations tax deductible on my personal tax return?

When you accept funds as part of a sponsored campaign, you are donating the sponsor’s money, so your allocation does not qualify as a deduction when you file your taxes.

What information is shared with charities?

Information about individuals is never shared; charities will be able to see sponsoring businesses’ names.

Equitry Giving LLC, which handles donations as part of Equitry’s giving campaigns, is 501(c)(3) registration pending, which means that donations through it are not currently tax deductible.
